It is a way of saving money on London filming prices I suppose, but why aren't they filming in their beloved Manchester? I bet most of them haven't even been to Birmingham. Hopefully they'll have a pleasant surprise, or a rude awakening. My original euphoria has abated now because thinking about it, I don't quite trust the BBC when it comes to showing Birmingham on the box. I'm hoping they're not going to stay in our slum areas and find London actors to do awful exaggerated Brummie accents that continue the stereotype that we are as thick as two short planks.
