I am most surprised that n the BBC would do such a thing. It is a way of saving money on London filming prices I suppose, but why aren't they filming in their beloved Manchester? Reading on other forums about this move to Brum I was quite horrified by the ignorance of people's perceptions of Birmingham.

You would think the world was ending having the BBC film in Brum.

What's the matter with these people? I bet most of them haven't even been to Birmingham.

Hopefully they'll have a pleasant surprise, or a rude awakening.

My original euphoria has abated now because thinking about it, I don't quite trust the BBC when it comes to showing Birmingham on the box.

I'm hoping they're not going to stay in our slum areas and find London actors to do awful exaggerated Brummie accents that continue the stereotype that we are as thick as two short planks.

Clarkie I saw a few suburbs of n Birmingham on Google street view like Alum Rock and Washwood Heath and I was embarrassed at the state of these areas.

Survivors would do well being filmed there, think the film makers would only have to tell people to stay indoors to make it look apocalyptic.
