SUGGESTION ALWAYS WORKS. Everyone responds to suggestion within the scope of previous conditioning and current ability to adapt. The key components of a session include the client' s state of mental, psychological, emotional and physical health during the session. We can help clients unwind, feeling peaceful and calm. We excite imaginations, so they can inspire themselves for change. But we are a small part of the miracle. If you respect and support every level of success your clients achieve, every session is successful!

Helpful hints: If a client is having difficultly relaxing or doing the mental work, Recommend a series of sessions to improve those abilities. If a client has changed eating patterns and increased exercise without a weight loss, know: SOMETHING ELSE IS GOING ON. Experience teaches that it is wise to suggest they consider consulting a healthcare practitioner. In many cases, clients have had adrenal break down and lowered, sub-clinical thyroid function problems. They reduced when they resolved those conditions.

When helping people stop smoking, go for the gold and work with whatever success your clients' have. Example: Client: I cut down, but I am still smoking 5 cigarettes a day. Hypnotist: That's great. Five cigarettes a day is a lot better than a pack. You're making progress. I am confident you are going to get sick and tired of smoking very soon. Shall we schedule another appointment?

When it comes to healing- less is more. Notice, clients who want to direct every facet of their healing don't do as well as those who focus on creating the ideal environment for their inner doctors to do their thing. Sometimes that means making lifestyle changes, focusing on the positive, forgiveness or letting go of clutter and often it simply means giving ourselves permission to take it easy and let healing flow.

Our body-minds know exactly how to heal and that the instructions we give them have little to do with how they heal or don't heal.

What we give our clients is a psycho-spiritual charge which helps them generate the energy needed to engage their inner-physicians.

Recognize your client's expertise and comfort in the mechanical order of things and suggest that he start imagining his body is energized and accessible. Imagine that every cell in the body, which can send healing energy, is sending it, and that every cell that needs extra energy gets it. Then focus intensely imagining doing all the stuff one loves to do--healthy, happy and fully recovered.
