From the Executive Director.

This issue of Armed Forces Comptroller focuses on ethics and fiscal law, topics that must govern our professional lives. Ethics and fiscal law also affect what government employees can do as members of the American Society of Military Comptrollers. At ASMC headquarters we are frequently asked questions such as whether government employees may serve as ASMC chapter officers and whether government e-mail facilities may be used to advertise and administer ASMC activities. You can find answers to these and other questions on our Web site (www.asmconline.org/frequently asked questions). For those attending the national Professional Development Institute, ASMC's General Counsel conducts a roundtable session that addresses such issues. If you ever have questions concerning chapter legal issues, please feel free to contact ASMC headquarters. We will be glad to help!
