From Regina Farrell re Gibson's The Passion.I just received C.I. this morning, and I was surprised to read that Eisner had picked up this film. Unfortunately, this information seems to have come from an internet hoax Hoax Balloon Hoax, The news story in 1844, reporting the transatlantic crossing of a balloon with eight passengers. [Am. Lit.: The Balloon Hoax in Poe] Piltdown man missing link turned out to be orangutan. [Br. Hist. . (If you google "Gibson Eisner Passion" you will find several links discussing the hoax.) The film is still searching for a distributor, and is requesting that people show their support by logging on to www.passion-movie.com/english/support.html If the movie does not have proper distribution, perhaps all Christians would do well to give up movie-going for Lent Lent [Old Eng. lencten,=spring], Latin Quadragesima (meaning 40; thus the 40 days of Lent). In Christianity, Lent is a time of penance, prayer, preparation for or recollection of baptism, and preparation for the celebration of Easter. . Montreal, PQ Editor: Mrs. Farrell is quite correct and we apologize a·pol·o·gize intr.v. a·pol·o·gized, a·pol·o·giz·ing, a·pol·o·giz·es 1. October 2003, p.31. We now understand that Mr. Gibson has created his own distributing company. P.S. The movie The Gospel of Saint John Saint John, city, Canada Saint John, city (1991 pop. 74,969), S N.B., Canada, at the mouth of the St. John River on the Bay of Fundy.
