From Meg Raven re Mount St. Vincent's lesbian collection.


In our Feb 2005 edition (pp.28-29) C.I. carried the News in Brief item "Mount St. Vincent's lesbian collection."

A reader in Gloucester, ON, wrote the college a letter of protest. She received the following reply:

"I wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of February 7, 2005. I'm sorry that news of our Lesbian Pulp Fiction Lesbian pulp fiction refers to any mid-20th century pulp novel with overtly lesbian themes and content. Lesbian pulp fiction was published in the 1950s and 60s by many of the same publishing houses that other subgenres of pulp fiction including Westerns, Romances, and Detective  collection distressed you. This is a collection of great academic interest to a number of disciplines, including Women's Studies, Cultural Studies, English, Public Relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  and History In addition, our Art Gallery has confirmed that the cover art work is of rare and unique quality. The Mount has changed a lot, even in the 13 years I have been with the Libra. Cultural, racial and religions diversity is flourishing and this makes the university a stimulating and challenging place to work and study."
