Saint John Fisher also John Cardinal Fisher (c. 1469 – 1535), was an English Catholic bishop, cardinal and martyr. ("Thomas More & Bishop Fisher," C.I. July/Aug. 2005, pp.22-25). However, I was surprised to read that Loughran called St. John Fisher, Bishop of Rochester
The Bishop of Rochester is the Ordinary of the Church of England Diocese of Rochester in the Province of Canterbury. The diocese covers the west of the County of Kent. , a Cardinal. I have visited Bishop Fisher's Cathedral, and this is the first time I have heard of him as a Cardinal. Was this done after his martyrdom, posthumously? If he knows something I don't, please let me in on it.
