From Jim Oman re WYD report by Ann Wilson. (Letter to the Editor). The WYD a. 1. Wide. report by Ann Wilson Ann Dustin Wilson (born June 19, 1950 in San Diego, California) is the lead singer and flute player[1] of Heart. Biography Wilson's family moved around as a child because her father was a Marine Corps colonel. in the September September: see month. 2002 issue was excellent, but it included one error. The article states, "The east wind that brought the storm shifted 180 degrees and a steady west wind cleared away the clouds in a few minutes, bringing blue skies, sunshine, and warmth." What actually happened was that while gale force winds and heavy rain were coming one way, the blue skies and sunshine were coming the other way, against the forces of nature. Not until the blue skies and sunshine had filled a third of the sky did the winds subside sub·side intr.v. sub·sid·ed, sub·sid·ing, sub·sides 1. To sink to a lower or normal level. 2. To sink or settle down, as into a sofa. 3. To sink to the bottom, as a sediment. 4. and the rain stop. I know, because I was holding down the front of an umbrella while my sons held the rest, and we turned to see the blue skies and sun coming from the opposite direction. North Bay, ON |
