From Deacon Daniel Dauvin re homosexuality--disorientation to orientation!. (Letters to the Editor).

You cannot make laws to force people not to have or love what is naturally hateful or repulsive. If a law is passed that says you must not hate manure, soon another law will be in place to make you eat it. When that happens people will hate manure even more and will eventually leave a big pile of it in front of the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, with the sign: "No more manure! Or enough B.S."

The same rule applies to the private member's bill, C-415--now renumbered as C-250--on hate propaganda, put forward on November 22, 2001, by the homosexual activist and MP Svend Robinson. It passed second reading on May 29, 2002. It must not go through third reading or people will be persecuted for speaking the truth.

Bill C-250 is based on perverted logic. Can a mother or a father who love their sons or daughters not hate their lifestyle that is fraught with diseases, violence, and moral depravity? Of course! The Christian approach uses a just discrimination. It loves the sinner but hates the sin, and respects the dignity of a person no matter how much the image of God in him has been distorted. Can we do or say less than Christ himself who loved everyone but sometimes condemned their actions or lifestyles. He said "Go and sin no more" to the prostitute, and this applies to all people.

The problem of homosexuality is as old as the hills. Before any solution can be found, the homosexual lifestyle must be recognized as a disorientation not an orientation, a deviation from the norm which is heterosexual, and should be treated as such with just discrimination and love for those affected. To make additional laws that intend to force people to accept a lifestyle that defies God's plan and the laws of Mother Nature, is ridiculous. It is tantamount to committing suicide as a civilization. Are we going to let this happen?
