Frogjoy Woods, a 46-acre tract of amphibian amphibian, in zoology
amphibian, in zoology, cold-blooded vertebrate animal of the class Amphibia. There are three living orders of amphibians: the frogs and toads (order Anura, or Salientia), the salamanders and newts (order Urodela, or Caudata), and the
 heaven in Waterwood, Texas, has been formally designated as America's first frog and amphibian sanctuary. The area was saved from development a few years ago by a frog-loving couple who donated the conservation easement easement, in law, the right to use the land of another for a specified purpose, as distinguished from the right to possess that land. If the easement benefits the holder personally and is not associated with any land he owns, it is an easement in gross (e.g.  to the Natural Area Preservation Association, thus saving this periodic wetlands from drying up. The thin, semitransparent, oval-shaped membrane that separates the middle ear from the external ear. Also called drum, drumhead, drum membrane, myringa, myrinx, tympanic membrane,
 bursting chorus of croaks and chirps. And after a rainstorm, watch out, it's hard to cross the adjoining road without hitting one. It is estimated that up to one-third of the frog species in the world are threatened with extinction.
