Fritz Cos. Inc. selects Codina Construction for major northwest Dade project.


MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 1996--Codina Construction Corp. has been awarded a $9.7 million contract by Fritz Cos. Inc. of San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  to design/build a 338,000 square foot warehouse/storage facility on 15 acres in Northwest Dade.

The 30 foot, clear height, concrete tilt up Tilt up or tilt-slab is a type of building, and a construction technique using concrete. The process resembles barn raising specifically and wood platform framing generally. It is very cost-effective for low buildings.  structure, to be located at 25th St. and 102 Ave., will be Fritz's new Miami facility. The company is one of the nation's leading freight forwarding corporations.
