Friends of Police force introduced to help counter terrorism: IGP.PESHAWAR, November 03, 2009 (Balochistan Times): A high level meeting of NWFP NWFP North-West Frontier Province (northwest Pakistan) NWFP Northwest Forest Plan NWFP Non-Wood Forest Product Police Force led by IGP (1) (Interior Gateway Protocol) A broad category of routing protocols that support a single, confined geographic area such as a local area network (LAN). Contrast with EGP. See routing protocol. Malik Naveed Khan has decided to introduce Friends of Police on mobile as well as E-Tag for effectively combating militancy in the province. To fight the war against terrorists through technology system, the IGP said under this system Friends of Police will pass information to the police about the possible acts of terrorists and saboteurs or any other suspect elements. The police will pass this information to more Friends of Police and thus through networking of Friend of Police the terrorists could be brought to book. NWFP Inspector General of Police An Inspector General of Police (IGP) is a high ranking police officer of the Indian Police Service, Sri Lanka Police or Royal Malaysian Police (Polis Di-Raja Malaysia) cadre. He is usually in charge of an administrative police zone in a state. Malik Naveed Khan directed police high ups to adopt security steps with the help of community and use technology for curbing terrorism and maintaining law and order in the province. The meeting thoroughly reviewed law and order of the province and the factors affecting on it. Various decisions were taken in the meeting about which police were given guidelines for implementing these in letter and spirit. In order to overcome the shortage of police it was decided that community police especially youth would be deputed along with the police on blockades and police check posts and will perform duties turn by turn with the police. It was observed that it will reduce the duty pressure on police and will help create friendly atmosphere on these points and police was directed to introduce this system at Thana Tha·na See Thane. level at the earliest. To secure to something; attach: affix a label to a package. 2. on the vehicle and from 40 to 50 points would be established in Peshawar and complete data of these vehicles would be provided in computers on these points. Thorough checking would be carried out of without E-Tag vehicles on these points and this system will lead to identification of strange vehicles and thus it will help a lot in improving law and order situation. The IGP also directed the police high ups to further improve the investigation and tighten the noose around the neck of those involved in bomb blast across the province. In the meeting, the IGP appreciated the performance of Peshawar and Kohat Police. It merits mention that Peshawar Police worked out more than five bomb blast cases recently took place in Peshawar by arresting many accused including two ring leaders involved in these cases. While the Kohat Police arrested one Burhan-ud-Din who was wanted to Kohat Police in many cases of rocket firing ion Kohat city. The police chief announced cash award and commendation COMMENDATION.
