Miles Mahony, the broker for Friedland Realty, also represented the sellers in the two transactions. In the Soundview section, Jem-Comjem Realty purchased the 20,000-s/f taxpayer building at 1621-39 Westchester Avenue for $6.8 million. The seller of the fully-occupied building was the Gershon Gershon (gûr`shŏn), in the Bible, Levi's first son. An alternate form is Gershom. Company. Jem-Comjem purchased 101 East Burnside Avenue in the Tremont section for $1 million. The 6,000-s/f corner building is an instrumental addition in the purchaser's plans to create new office space. Jem-Comjem already owns the four adjoining buildings and is planning to renovate the second and third floors at 101 East Burnside Avenue into 5,000-s/f offices.
