Mats Wahlstrom, co-CEO of Fresenius Medical Care North America and President of Fresenius Medical Services, commented, "We are pleased to offer Fresenius Medical Care CKD Solutions to address the growing needs of nephrologists and their physician practice groups for a specialized electronic health record that captures relevant clinical data. This technology will enable nephrologists to monitor and further improve CKD patient outcomes."

More than 24 million Americans suffer from chronic kidney disease. According to Dr. Frank Maddux who, along with Dr. Dugan W. The electronic health record is a user-friendly product that efficiently captures clinical health care documentation, provides nephrology decision support and offers physician practice management tools."

Under the agreement, Health IT Services Group will provide training to physician practice groups using the software including ongoing support services.
