The French Mission to the UN opted to renew its long-term lease four years prior to expiration.

. The ownership of One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza was self represented.

"After reviewing several alternatives, the French Mission to the UN concluded that the most economically viable solution was to renew its long-term lease commitment to the property and take advantage of the current tenant-oriented real estate market," said Ms. Anderson.

"By working closely with the building's ownership we were able to negotiate a deal which provided our client with a significant reduction in rents over the next four years."

The Permanent Mission of France to the UN will continue to house its diplomatic offices on the 43rd and 44th floors of One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, a 50-story, Class A office tower located at 885 Second Avenue between 47th and 48th Streets.

In addition to the French Mission, the property also houses the Permanent Missions of Ireland, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Denmark, among others.
