INFINTEM SURVEY HIGHLIGHTS

The targets for diamond drilling are a series of conductors delineated in a recently completed InfiniTEM ground electromagnetic survey. The prime target, a bedrock conductor known as the Redfox Lake Anomaly, is located 1.5 kilometres to the northeast and along stratigraphic stra·tig·ra·phy

The anomaly is a deeper-seated conductor (top of the conductor interpreted to be 115 metres below surface) comprising at least three discrete segments, collectively attaining a minimum strike length of 600 metres and a height of 400 metres. Such a conductor, based on modeling, plunges shallowly to the northeast and is characterized by conductance of up to 130 Siemens, representing a very strong anomaly ready to be drill-tested.

The InfiniTEM survey was completed by Abitibi Geophysics of Val d'Or, Quebec. In case histories, it has been successful in defining and resolving conductors and related base-metal deposits to depths of greater than 300 metres and represents a newer method of deep-probing geophysics.

The survey identified three secondary conductors known as the Redfox Lake South, Wye Lake South and Pats Lake South Anomalies. These conductors, as well as a number of earlier defined HLEM HLEM Horizontal-Loop Electromagnetic (system)

A map showing the location of the InfiniTEM conductors relative to the Wye Lake copper-zinc discovery is part of this news release and is posted on the Freewest website at www.freewest.com.

ABOUT THE SUNGOLD PROPERTY

Freewest is a well-funded mineral exploration company exploring for gold and base-metals in Eastern Canada. Among its most recent discoveries is the Wye Lake copper-zinc occurrence. The discovery comprises replacement-style copper-zinc massive sulphide mineralization Mineralization

and associated stringer-type copper mineralization traced over a one-kilometer strike length. Although relatively narrow, the occurrence is of exceptional quality yielding surface values of up to 12.40% copper and 32.80% zinc with drill results including 21.10% zinc over 1.0 metre.

Freewest management stated: "Given the similarity in geologic environment of the Sungold property with well-known camps such as Noranda and Mattagami that are characterized by multiple base-metal deposits occurring along one or more stratigraphic horizons, we are very optimistic that we will make additional discoveries on this highly prospective property."

Don Hoy, P. Geo. (Ontario), Vice President of Exploration and a Director of Freewest Resources Canada Inc., is the Qualified Person on the Sungold property and is responsible for the preparation of this news release.
