Free seeds for kids in Meirionnydd.

Project staff are offering thousands of free tree seed sticks which children can plant in pots. Schools can also establish outdoor tree nurseries and resulting saplings can be planted in Meirionnydd's native woodlands.

This week school kids at Ysgol Gynradd Penybryn kick-started the project by planting hundreds of seed sticks, acorns and hazel nuts.

Their saplings will be relocated re·lo·cate

 to Coed Ysgubor Wen, a native woodland in the Dysynni Valley which has just been bought by Coed Cadw(The Woodland Trust).
