Passy-Muir, Inc, manufacturer of the Passy-Muir Tracheotomy tracheotomy (trākēŏt`əmē), surgical incision into the trachea, or windpipe. The operation is performed when the windpipe has become blocked, e.g., by the presence of some foreign object or by swelling of the larynx.  and Ventilator Speaking Valves (PMVs), is offering free online continuing education courses for clinicians who work with people who have traceostomies or are ventilator dependent. The five courses available are: Assessment and Placement of the PMV See Private market value.  for Non-Ventilator Dependent Patients; Pediatric pediatric /pe·di·at·ric/ (pe?de-at´rik) pertaining to the health of children.

 Issues and Application of the PMV; Ventilator Application of the PMV; Dysphagia and Improving Swallow with the PMV; and Transitioning Issues for Patients using the PMV. Each course is AARC AARC American Association for Respiratory Care.  approved for one hour of category 1 CRCE credit (Respiratory Therapy) and ASHA approved for 1 CEU at the Intermediate level, Professional area (Speech Language Pathology).
