Free half term arts and crafts.THE Bandywood Families Project will be holding a number of events during the half term holiday at Saint Mark's Church Saint Mark's Church, Venice, named after the tutelary saint of Venice. The original Romanesque basilical church, built in the 9th cent. as a shrine for the saint's bones, was destroyed by fire in 967. Centre in Kingstanding Kingstanding is an area in north Birmingham, England. It gives its name to a ward in the Erdington formal district. Kingstanding ward includes the areas; Perry Common, St. Mary's College, Witton Lakes and parts of Kingstanding Circle, Wyrley Birch and New Oscott. . There will be free family arts and crafts arts and crafts, term for that general field of applied design in which hand fabrication is dominant. The term was coined in England in the late 19th cent. as a label for the then-current movement directed toward the revivifying of the decorative arts. on Thursday and Friday from 10.30am in the church centre. There will also be a junior activity club on Thursday and Friday and an extra session on Saturday from 2pm, which is open to children aged seven to 10 and costs just 50p per child. Tracey Calvert, senior family link worker for the project, said: "These activities are in addition to our popular drama group that meets on Tuesday from 4pm, boxing on Wednesday from 5pm and the youth club for 11 to 16-year-olds on Thursday from 7pm.
