Fraud CE requirement suspended until 2005.

of CE in fraud detection that was slated to go into effect July 1, 2004,
has been suspended sus·pend v. sus·pend·ed, sus·pend·ing, sus·pends
v.tr. 1. To bar for a period from a privilege, office, or position, usually as a punishment: suspend a student from school. until at least Jan. 1, 2005. The regulation, approved
by the CBA See Capital Builder Account. , would have required all CPAs who are subject to the 24-hour
accounting and auditing requirement also to complete eight hours of CE
in fraud detection related to financial statement reporting.
