Frate Sole Award.
Submission: 31 May 2000 Submissions are invited for the second Frate Sole Award for Sacred Architecture. This is made every four years for ecclesiastical ECCLESIASTICAL. Belonging to, or set apart for the church; as, distinguished from civil or secular. Vide Church. buildings completed within the last 10 years. The Frate Sole Foundation was established to celebrate the architectural and spiritual qualities of new church buildings. The first recipient of the award was Tadao Ando. A prize of 300 million lire will be presented on 4 October October: see month. 2000, the Feast feast, commemorative banquet symbolizing communal unity. Generally associated with primitive rituals and later with religious practices, feasts may also commemorate such events as births, marriages, harvests, and deaths. of St Francis of Assisi, in Pavia.
