Franklin plans Spanish-language electronic medical books.MOUNT HOLLY, N.J.--(HealthWire)--Nov. 17, 1994--Franklin Electronic Publishers Inc. announced an agreement Thursday to produce electronic books based on Spanish-language editions of two premier medical texts that Franklin sells in the United States: The Merck Manual and Harriet Lane Handbook. Franklin signed the deal with Times Mirror International Publishers in Spain. Recently, Franklin announced plans to develop electronic medical books for Germany. The Merck Manual and Harriet Lane Handbook are the first of many electronic books Franklin plans to publish for Spanish-speaking physicians. These electronic books allow physicians to instantly access and read information about dosage and diagnosis while on rounds or at the office.
