Frankfurt light + building. (lighting).


Next April sees a major event in the lighting year, Light + Building, the world's largest international lighting fair, which will be held at the Messe Frankfurt site at Frankfurt am Main from 14 to 18 April 2002. The whole site will be devoted to the event, including two new halls, the Forum, by architect KSP KSP Kentucky State Police

The main part of the fair will be formed of exhibitors -- over 1387 international companies will be attending. For the first time, all major Italian manufacturers are expected, including designers Tobias Grau and Ingo Maurer. A separate section, Lightstyle, the International Trade Fair for Domestic Lighting, will show exhibitors of domestic lighting.

The fair is also the leading forum in the field of building-related electrical engineering electrical engineering: see engineering.

 events will include the presentation of the EU 'Lights of the Future' award, the Design Plus Prize and the Architecture and Technology Innovation Prize. The Daylight Technology Forum will demonstrate the latest technical innovations, and it will be possible to see the illuminated il·lu·mi·nate

The fair will be supplemented by lectures on light-related subjects at the Building Performance Congress. A series of lectures and forums on air-conditioning are also planned, including workshops on the future of air-conditioning and solar power, and air-conditioning technology and facades.

In the city the first Luminale will be held. Museums, galleries, shops and public buildings will celebrate the subject of light and architecture.
