Francotyp-Postalia and Kara Technology Help South African Post Office Take Lead With Stamps On-Line.

The South African Post Office has launched a pilot project to test the viability of selling postage stamps This is a list of postage stamps that are especially notable in some way.

Since the early 1990's the South African Post Office has made tremendous strides in amongst others, mail automation, bar-coding of security-sensitive mail and peel-and-stick postage stamps to bring its products in line with those of leading foreign postal administrations. The rapid development of digital products in the information age has, however, called for further electronic solutions.
