Franchise foundation awards scholarships. (IFA Educational Foundation News).


The IFA Immunofluorescent assay (IFA)
A blood test sometimes used to confirm ELISA results instead of using the Western blotting. In an IFA test, HIV antigen is mixed with a fluorescent compound and then with a sample of the patient's blood.
 Educational Foundation has announced scholarship awards for students enrolled in business, franchising and entrepreneurship studies across the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

The foundation has awarded $2000 scholarships to Dashanna Mason and Courtney Morgan, Johnson & Wales Wales, Welsh Cymru, western peninsula and political division (principality) of Great Britain (1991 pop. 2,798,200), 8,016 sq mi (20,761 sq km), west of England; politically united with England since 1536. The capital is Cardiff.  University, Providence, R.I. and Manuel Vasquez, Bethune-Cookman College, Daytona, Fla. Those selected for the scholarship awards were among a number of students who participated in a "Franchising Entrepreneurship Program" sponsored by the PepsiCo Foundation and the IFA Educational Foundation.

Through a program sponsored by Marriott International, the foundation has awarded $2500 scholarships to Serena Aurora, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. and Derrick Shaw, University of Maryland-Eastern Shore, Princess Anne, Md. The scholarship program was established by a grant from Marriott International to assist students who are enrolled in franchising or entrepreneurial studies.

"We are delighted to play a small part in helping these young people pursue their business education goals," said Sidney Feltenstein, chairman of the IFA Educational Foundation, and chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Founded in 1983, the IFA Educational Foundation is committed to advancing the highest professional standards for franchising through education and research. The foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization that is supported through the contributions of members of the International Franchise Association and others. All contributions are tax deductible.

National Franchising Competition Winners Named

Each year the IFA Educational Foundation sponsors a National Franchising Competition in cooperation with DECA DeCA Defense Commissary Agency (US DoD)
