Foxconn fire won't affect supply.

JUAREZ, MEXICO -- A recent fire at Foxconn Electronics' (fih-holdings.com) leased plant here will not affect supply, the company said.

In a Taiwan Stock Exchange filing, Foxconn (Hon Hai) said the April 10 fire was put out and no employees were hurt. While the building, which housed two other companies as well, was decimated, insurance will cover the damages, Foxconn said.

City spokesman Jorge Chairez said Foxconn employees would be sent to work at the company's San Jeronimo facility. San Jeronimo was recently erected, and the company is still moving lines and workers into the factory.

The building lacked a sprinkler system, which is typical of older facilities there.

The site built PCs, reportedly for Dell and H-P (hp.com).
