Fox Soccer Channel to Telecast the FIFA Club World Cup 2006 for Second Consecutive Year.


Live and Exclusive Tournament Coverage Begins Sunday, December 10

LOS ANGELES -- Fox Soccer Channel Fox Soccer Channel is a United States digital cable network, owned by News Corporation, that specializes in soccer. The channel took its current name on February 7, 2005; before then, the network was known as Fox Sports World, Launched Nov. 1, 1997.  will once again offer live and exclusive coverage of the FIFA Club World Cup 2006 in Japan.

Previously known as the FIFA Club World Championship TOYOTA Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup 2006 will be played during the month of December by representatives of FIFA's six confederations and will crown the world's best club team. Among this year's participants are the winners of the CONCACAF CONCACAF Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (Soccer)

 2006 Champions Cup, Club America of Mexico; CONMEBOL CONMEBOL Confederacion Sudamericana de Futbol  2006 Copa Libertadores champions, Internacional de Porto Alegre of Brazil; OFC 2006 club champions, Auckland City FC Auckland City FC are a football team from Auckland, New Zealand. Auckland City play their home matches at Kiwitea Street and compete in the New Zealand football championship. They are currently three times champions, having won both the 2004-5 and 2005-6 2006-7 seasons.  of New Zealand; the 2006 UEFA Champions League winners, FC Barcelona of Spain; the CAF Champions League winners, Al Ahly of Egypt; and the AFC Champions League winners, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors Football Club (Korean: 전북 현대 모터스 축구클럽; also Jeonbuk FC,[1]  FC of South Korea.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2006 will open in Toyota City on Sunday, December 10, and will feature Al Ahly and Auckland City. Live coverage is set to begin at 5:00 a.m. ET. Fox Soccer Channel will also have live coverage of the semifinals, the fifth-place and third-place matches, and the final, which will take place in Yokohama on Sunday, December 17 at 5:00 a.m. ET.
