Fox Soccer Channel Shines Spotlight On NCAA Division I Soccer; Extends Agreement with NSCAA to Air Minimum of 16 Division I College Soccer Matches Yearly through 2008.

LOS ANGELES -- Acquires Exclusive Right to Telecast Two Matches from the 10th Annual KICKS Against Breast Cancer College Tournament and 2nd Annual SHUT-OUT Cancer College Classic

Building on its mission to bring U.S. soccer fans the most in-depth coverage of the world's game on television, Fox Soccer Channel today announced it has extended its agreement with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) to air a minimum of eight women's and eight men's intercollegiate soccer matches yearly through 2008. As in 2005, the inaugural season of the agreement, Fox Soccer Channel's exclusive matches will showcase the best in Top 25 NCAA Division I soccer, this time including women's teams.

While the official start of the 2006 collegiate soccer season is still months away, FSC viewers will not have to wait long to get in on the action. On April 9, Fox Soccer Channel will exclusively televise two men's and women's matches from the 10th Annual KICKS Against Breast Cancer College Tournament and the 2nd Annual SHUT-OUT Cancer College Soccer Classic. The matches, to air live from the Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, Md., will feature the University of Virginia vs. the Washington Freedom in a women's game at 5 p.m. ET, and the University of Maryland, last year's NCAA men's national champion, vs. the D.C. United Reserves at 7 p.m. ET.

"Fox Soccer Channel is proud to extend its partnership with the NSCAA as the exclusive carrier of the best in men and women's college soccer," said David Sternberg, executive vice president and general manager of Fox Soccer Channel. "Our College Match of the Week, which will now include eight women's matches, is the perfect complement to Fox Soccer Channel's year-round coverage of top international and domestic soccer competitions."

Beginning in September 2006, the FSC College Match of the Week will include 12 live men's matches on Thursdays and Fridays and 8 live women's matches on Wednesdays, all kicking off at 8 p.m. ET. A complete broadcast schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

Twenty-two of the top men's and women's collegiate soccer teams are scheduled to participate in the 10th Annual KICKS Against Breast Cancer College Tournament and the 2nd Annual SHUT-OUT Cancer College Soccer Classic. Proceeds from the events will be split between the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and the Howard County General Hospital's Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource and Image Center in Columbia, Md., both non-profit organizations supporting individuals affected by cancer.

The KICKS Against Breast Cancer College Tournament was established in honor of Claudia Mayer, a friend of tournament Director Louise Waxler (WUSA/Washington Freedom), who passed away in 1996 after a two-year battle with breast cancer. Since the inception of the tournament nine years ago, donations and fundraising by participating teams has totaled more than $350,000. The SHUT-OUT Cancer Men's College Soccer Classic was added last year with additional proceeds to benefit the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.
