Fox & Fowle announces current assignments.

Loews Theatre Management has retained the services of Fox & Fowle Architects to establish a new prototype for its national chain of movie theatres. The project begins with the planning of a 3,000-seat facility at the Bullard Square Complex in Fairfield, Connecticut. Loews' intent is to establish a unique identity and sense of place for its theatres.

Fox & Fowle is engaging in a stringent review of current operations as they develop new design standards and the individual components needed to implement them. Addressing the physical characteristics of the movie houses is just one element in the total program; there is an additional concern with how tickets are purchased, the introduction of a reservation program, and the enhancement of the entire food service operation.

In addition, Paul Stuart, the prestigious Madison Avenue clothier, has begun construction of a major renovation of the ground floor using the services of Fox & Fowle.

Most apparent will be the new entry from 45th Street which was decided upon after a complete study was undertaken by the architects. Their evaluation of storage, display and circulation led to the proposal to reconfigure the area connecting the Madison Avenue entry, lobby and main retail area to the new 45th Street entry.
