Four new journals to be launched by IEEE in 2006.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE; Piscataway, NJ), a professional association for he advancement of technology, will launch five new journals in 2006, including "Journal on Products Safety Engineering," "Computational Intelligence Magazine," Vehicular Technology Magazine," and "Transactions on Information Forensics and Security."

"Journal on Product Safety Engineering" is a quarterly title that offers information on the design, theory, development and implementation of product safety engineering for equipment devices used in scientific, industrial, commercial and residential arenas. Content will focus on such topics as: process control and automation equipment, robotics, laser optics systems, medical devices and instrumentation, household appliances, automotive and aeronautical transportation systems, and weapons systems and related military equipment.

"Computational Intelligence Magazine," also produced quarterly, covers all areas of computational intelligence design and applications with information on applications-oriented developments, industrial implementations, design tools, technology reviews, education and applied research. "Vehicular Technology Magazine" will be published six times a year to cover the application and operational aspects of electrical and electronic engineering relevant to motor vehicles and associated land transportation infrastructure, including components and systems for mobile radio, motor vehicles and land transportation.

"Information Forensics and Security" is a quarterly title that will include research on the fundamental contributions and mathematics behind information forensics, information security, surveillance and systems applications that incorporate these features. Targeted to "information-procession" professionals, including biometric and photographic experts, it covers such topics as watermarking, extracting robust files, noise analysis, encryption, authentication, privacy protection, surveillance, crime prevention, counter-terrorism, and related legal and ethical issues.
