A wreck involving a tractor-trailer truck and two cars sent one woman to the hospital and blocked traffic on Highway 58 near Oakridge for a brief period in the afternoon.

About half an hour later, Oregon State Police troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 58 at Seavey Loop Road, about a mile east of Interstate 5, that sent a sport utility vehicle crashing into a house.

A Toyota 4-Runner exited I-5 and was traveling east at what police say was a high rate of speed in the westbound lane of Highway 58 when it broadsided a Toyota RAV 4 that was stopped at the intersection of Seavey Loop Road. The crash sent the Toyota 4-Runner onto a lawn, and it struck a nearby house, while the RAV 4 stopped in a clump of bushes, said Oregon State Police Trooper Elijah Chambers.
