Four Colleges Choose Datatel Colleague; ERP Solution Picked to Enhance Student Services and Facilitate Growth.


FAIRFAX, Va. -- Datatel Inc. today announced that four higher education higher education

As a group, the four colleges chose from three different databases that Colleague supports: Microsoft SQL Server A relational DBMS from Microsoft that is a major component of the Windows Server System. It is Microsoft's high-end client/server database and is closely integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft Office System. , Oracle, and IBM UniData UniData is a Nested relational database management system (RDBMS) and operating environment that runs on the major Unix servers and Windows NT/2000. Designed for embedding in vertical software applications, UniData was originally developed by the UniData Corporation. . The four institutions are: Central Ohio Technical College Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is a two-year technical college situated in Newark, Ohio. It is on the same campus as Ohio State University-Newark. COTC offers associate's degrees and certification programs in a number of career fields including business, computers, , Newark, OH; Danville Area Community College "DACC" redirects here. "DACC" may also refer to the Danish American Chamber of Commerce.
Danville Area Community College is a public two-year community college located in Danville, Illinois.

"To address the current and future needs of our constituents, we turned to Datatel," said Larry Arps, chief information officer and vice president of Information Technology at Manhattanville College. "Datatel allowed us to choose our preferred database, plus they impressed us with their best practices knowledge and workflow and communications management systems experience."

According to Arps, Manhattanville College is eager to use WebAdvisor, Datatel's Web-based self-service solution, in the redesign of its Web site. "Our online services will be more effective with Datatel," he added.
