greetings:

Summer is here in the USA. It is a time for smelling the roses and all those other wonderful scents of nature. Please make sure that you take time to nurture yourself with nature; she is patiently waiting for your energy to appear. Recently we took a trip to NJ to visit our grandchildren and their parents. We played and walked in the woods, sat by a stream, listened to the sounds of the day and marveled at the creatures as they scurried about. We came back refreshed, alert and wholesome. May your summer be filled with such sweet memories!

MEMBERS ON THE MOVE

Fr. Marty Patton received the IACT Therapist of the Year Award at the convention in Atlanta in May 2000. Fr. Marty is President of IMDHA. Congratulations may be sent to 9200 Montgomery Rd. # 12A, Montgomery, OH 45242.

Anne H. Spencer, PhD received the prestigious Presidents Award 2000 from Jillian La Velle at the IACT convention. It reads, In recognition of steadfast dedication to the enrichment of the counseling profession.

RESEARCH AWARD

At the October 2001 IMDHA Conference the Dr. Rolf H Sommer Award will be given to the person who has carried out a research study relating to the use of Neurotechnology Light and Sound in the field of Hypnotherapy. Dr. Sommer will present two full days of training relating to Neurotechnology at the IMDHA conference on October 30 and 31, 2000.

SPECIALTY CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS

IMDHA offers specialty certification programs throughout the year as well as at the annual conference. Every Hypnotherapist is invited to attend the training. IMDHA members have the advantage of taking the Specialty Exam and adding that to their area of specialty in the Referral Directory.

Ericksonian Hypnosis will be offered in Troy, MI on July 8 and 9 from 9 am to 6 pm with a Specialty Exam to follow for those who qualify. Peter Blum will be coming from his Woodstock, NY training center to facilitate this important modality.
