Foundation fund.Legacy Society The MTNA FOUNDATION FUND has established the Legacy Society to recognize those individuals who have made a commitment to the future of the FOUNDATION through a planned gift or by fully funding a named endowment at the $10,000 level. Because of the foresight of these Legacy Society members, they have made a permanent connection between themselves and thousands of music teachers and students who will be a part of a more musical tomorrow. For an easy, safe and secure way to make your gift via credit card, go to the MTNA FOUNDATION FUND website at www.mtnafoundation.org. With this option you can designate your donation to one or more of the named endowment funds Endowment funds Investment funds established for the support of institutions such as colleges, private schools, museums, hospitals, and foundations. The investment income may be used for the operation of the institution and for capital expenditures., the general endowment fund or the annual fund. You also can direct your gift to a named endowment or Fellow fund in progress. Three credit card choices are offered: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Five payment options are available, and you may indicate when you want payments to begin. When you submit the form, you will receive an e-mail confirmation you can print for your records. If you do not want to contribute online, you can print a contribution form and send it to MTNA with your check or credit card information. Grant Guidelines and Forms Available Guidelines and application forms for the 2007 Teacher Enrichment, Local Association Matching, New Local Association Start-Up Grants and State Affiliate Matching Grants are now available through MTNA national headquarters and on the MTNA FOUNDATION FUND website. End of Year Giving At the end of the year, many people are searching for ways to reduce their taxable income. As a 501(c)(3) corporation, contributions to the MTNA FOUNDATION FUND may be tax deductible. MTNA is continuing to collect donations to the MTNA Hurricane Katrina Recovery Fund until December 31, 2006. Contributions to the fund may be made by phone at (888) 512-5278 or U.S. Mail to MTNA, 441 Vine St., Ste. 50.5, Cincinnati, OH 45202. Please specify "Hurricane Katrina Recovery Fund" when you call or write. Also, don't forget that many corporations will match employee donations to a nonprofit organization. MTNA encourages you to check with your employer or your spouse's employer to see if such a gift-matching program is in place. This small step can make a great difference to the FOUNDATION FUND.
