Foundation Health Corporation enters into agreement to acquire Managed Health Network, Inc.

Notes:
The opposite of pooling of interests is the purchase acquisition method.

Completion of the acquisition is subject to certain closing conditions, including approval by the California Department of Corporations. Upon completion of the acquisition, the two companies will serve more than six million individuals in all 50 states.

As of Dec. 31, 1995, annualized revenues of MHN and FHPS on a combined basis would have been approximately $170 million, including approximately $75 million from various Foundation Health Corporation subsidiaries for which FHPS provides behavioral health services. FHPS' current operations include more than 1.3 million individuals in employee assistance programs, 1.3 million individuals in managed behavioral health and more than one million eligible beneficiaries covered under government-sponsored health benefit programs including CHAMPUS CHAMPUS Civilian Health & Medical Program for Uniformed Services A health care plan for military dependents and retirees operated by the DoD Types of service HMO, PPO, and fee-for-service, through a single health plan known as TriCare  and Medicaid.
