Fortent buys Charles Intriago's Alert Global Media.


Fortent, a Warburg Pincus Warburg Pincus is a private equity firm with offices in the United States, Europe and Asia. It has been a leading private equity investor since 1971. The firm currently has approximately $14 billion under management, and invests in a range of industries including information and  portfolio company and specialist in anti-money laundering Anti-money laundering ("AML") is a term mainly used in the financial and legal industries to describe the legal controls that require financial institutions and other regulated entities to prevent or report money laundering activities.  and fraud detection technology, recently purchased Alert Global Media from Charles Intriago.

Alert Global Media is the Miami-based publisher of Money Laundering The process of taking the proceeds of criminal activity and making them appear legal.

Laundering allows criminals to transform illegally obtained gain into seemingly legitimate funds.
 Alert, moneylaundering.com, and the Spanish-language Lavadodinero.com. It also provides conferences and training for financial professionals.

The day-to-day operations of Alert Global Media will operate independently from Fortent's compliance technology business.
