CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Fortemedia, Inc. today announces FM1093, a state-of-the-art DSP (1) (Digital Signal Processor) A special-purpose CPU used for digital signal processing applications (see definition #2 below). It provides ultra-fast instruction sequences, such as shift and add, and multiply and add, which are commonly used in math-intensive  platform for the latest in voice-processing technologies. FM1093, with small array microphone beam-forming capabilities, supports Fortemedia's 16kHz echo cancellation The elimination of an echo in a two-way voice transmission.
