Major Broadcast Networks Choose Fortel's Integrity(TM) Product Line

for High Quality Digital Video Production

Fortel DTV (Digital TeleVision) Transmitting TV using digital signals. The major DTV standards are ATSC (North America), DVB (Europe) and ISDB (Japan). All three use MPEG-2 video compression and Dolby Digital audio compression. The orders are for Fortel's recently released second generation Integrity(TM) system components, specifically the FS-412 Dual Path Video Synchronizer and its companion module, the DAS-441 Audio Synchronizer and Processor.

Integrity(TM) products are based on Fortel's patented signal processing techniques which allow them to convert, encode, decode, synchronize and process video signals with higher resolution and fewer artifacts than other techniques. Ease-of-use and component interoperability are also combined to provide a complete and fully integrated solution. The result is a combination of video decoders and synchronizers that produce unmatched analog to digital conversion quality and an audio synchronizer with 24 bit A/D A/D

By listening to the needs of their customers, Fortel has also developed unique features seen nowhere else in the industry, such as both analog and digital inputs and outputs on a single module, dual path processing(TM) - which provides separate channels for both composite video and decoded video synchronization - and fully programmable independent line-by-line processing in the vertical blanking interval The part of a TV signal that is sent between each video frame.
