Bob Wallace, Managing Partner & VP of Business Solutions for WIH, founded the company with the intent of offering customers cost effective solid waste management and logistics business solutions to clients interested in solving critical challenges, while not having to add headcount.

Prior to starting WIH Resource Group, LLC, Wallace spent six years with Waste Management, the largest provider of solid waste management services in North America, as their Director of Transportation & Logistics. While with Waste Management, he was responsible for all of the transportation for Waste Management's Western Group (9 Western States) for the company's Waste-by-rail program, maritime (tug & barge) and long haul transfer truck traffic. He managed over $100 million in annual spend with third party transportation providers, handled motor carrier negotiations, contract management as well as the transportation & logistics for most new commercial, private, and municipal solid waste “Municipal waste” redirects here. Municipal solid waste (MSW) is a waste type that includes predominantly household waste (domestic waste) with sometimes the addition of commercial wastes collected by a
 contracts for WM. He also led their commercial and residential rerouting efforts, eliminating some 350 routes from the Western Group. Most recently, he was responsible for improving business operating activities for their transfer stations and creating strategic business plans for each of the sites targeted for improvement.

Before joining Waste Management, he spent eight years with a regional truckload carrier, as one of their Regional Operations Managers and five years with a national trailer leasing company where he served in sales, marketing, and operational management positions.

Now residing in Phoenix, AZ, he is a native of the Pacific Northwest and received his bachelor's degree from Washington State University Washington State University, at Pullman; land-grant and state supported; chartered 1890, opened 1892 as an agriculture college.
