By request of the ministers and the press, there were numerous speeches and interviews given throughout the two days by Hyperdynamics' Chief Executive, Kent Watts, Ambassador Herman Cohen, as well as Ambassador Jackson McDonald. The theme of the Hyperdynamics' message expressed sincere gratitude for each of the Ministry's support for our project; that the work is focused on the task to discover Guinea's petroleum reserves that belong to the people of Guinea; and that this project brings hope for tremendous economic growth in Guinea, benefiting all the people of Guinea.

On Thanksgiving Day, a press conference was held for the Guinea press. A reception was hosted by Hyperdynamics at the Hotel Novotel in Conakry that included over 300 guests from the government, the diplomatic corps, business leaders, military and press. At the reception speakers included Kent Watts, Ambassador Herman Cohen, Ambassador Jackson McDonald, and Dr. Ousmane Sylla, the Minister of Mines and Geology. When asked to comment, Ambassador Herman Cohen stated, "After several decades of state-managed enterprises, the Government of Guinea is clearly ready to transition to a market-based economy.
