Former Chairman Flugger passes away. (People).Penelope A. Flugger, who served as FEI's only woman chair in 1995-96, died in December after a two-year battle with lung cancer lung cancer, cancer that originates in the tissues of the lungs. Flugger was named senior vice president and auditor in 1985, and assumed responsibility for the control and quality initiatives in Morgan's technology and operations group in 1994. Flugger joined FEI's Executive Committee in 1991 and held a series of positions on the EC and the Leadership Board. She was also Chapter President in New York in 1996-7 and served on several other committees, including admissions, planning and resources, as well as an an area vice president.
