Former Chair of BC Hydro and CN Rail Joins the Board of Directors of United Bolero.

)(FWB (Fixed Wireless Broadband) See fixed wireless. :U7N) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Brian R.D. Smith, QC as a director of the Company.

Mr. Smith served as Chair of BC Hydro from 1996 to 2001. Prior to that, he was full-time Executive Chair of Canadian National Railways ("CN Rail"), a position he held from 1989 to 1994.

During his tenure at CN Rail, he helped prepare the railway for privatization, which occurred in 1995. He supported the construction of a new rail tunnel linking Ontario and Michigan and helped secure the necessary US regulatory and presidential approvals in Washington. Mr. Smith also established a rail executive office in Vancouver to promote growing Asian container freight traffic through the Port of Vancouver The Port of Vancouver is the largest port in Canada, the largest in the Pacific Northwest, and the largest port on the West Coast of North America by metric tons's of total cargo with 76.5 million metric tons. .

Mr. Smith's corporate experience is complemented by more than 20 years in public service. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly A Member of the Legislative Assembly, or MLA, is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district to the legislature or legislative assembly of a subnational jurisdiction.  of British Columbia from 1979 to 1989, during which time he served as Minister of Education and Minister of Energy & Mines and as Attorney General from 1983 to 1988.

Mr. Smith also worked in private law practice from 1961 to 1979 and from 1988 to 1989, mostly with the Victoria firm of Pearlman & Lindholm. He is currently working as a public policy advisor with the Toronto office of Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol .

The Company also announces the resignation of Marvin Mitchell as a director of the Company to pursue other opportunities. Marvin has been a much valued member of the Board of Directors of the Company since he first joined the Board in May 2003. All of the members of the Board of Directors, R. Bruce Duncan, President and CEO, Robert Gardner, Chairman of the Board, L. Joseph Bardswich, director, and Mike England, director, expressed their sincere appreciation to Marvin for his service to United Bolero and wished him every success in his future endeavours.

United Bolero is focused on acquiring and exploring quality mining and oil and gas properties. It recently acquired an option for a 100% ownership interest in two large-scale molybdenum properties in the state of Montana. The Company is also active in the oil and gas sector with a 50% working interest in five oil wells: three in Wyoming's Powder River Basin The Powder River Basin is a region in southeast Montana and northeast Wyoming about 120 miles east to west and 200 miles north to south known for its coal deposits. . United Bolero also has precious metal interests through a significant copper find in Montana, and through a partnership with Solitaire Minerals to develop the South Baird claims units, located in the heart of the renowned Red Lake Mining District in Ontario.
