Forest Tree Breeding Center Succeeds in Stable Modification of Cedar Gene.Tokyo, Japan, Mar 8, 2006 - (JCN JCN Japan Corporate News JCN Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience JCN Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing JCN Journal of Christian Nursing JCN Job Control Number JCN Journal of Child Neurology JCN joint communications network (US DoD) ) - The Forest Tree Breeding Center (FTBC FTBC Fashion Targets Breast Cancer FTBC Forest Tree Breeding Center FTBC Franciscan Trace Brokerage Co. (Kerrville, Texas real estated developer) FTBC Failure To Be Cool (California Highway Patrol) ) has established a new gene recombination technique for cedar. The new technique, which is based on Agrobacterium-mediated transformation, inserts GFP GFP Green Fluorescent Protein GFP Generic Framing Procedure GFP Government Furnished Property GFP Generic Frame Protocol GFP General Framing Procedure GFP Global Functional Plane GFP Global Field Power GFP Grandmothers for Peace GFP Glutton for Punishment genes into the cell mass derived from immature seeds of Japanese cedar trees. By growing the modified cell mass, it can regenerate plants in a stable manner. Based on these findings, the FTBC aims to develop a variety of cedar, which will be pollen-free, while ensuring safety and giving consideration to environmental impacts. Details of the achievement will be presented at the 47th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologist to be held at the University of Tsukuba The current university was established in October, 1973. A forerunner of this university was Tokyo University of Education (東京教育大学 from March 19 to 21. Copyright [c] 2006 Japan Corporate News Network. All rights reserved. |
