Force-fed the obvious; LETTERS.

JOHN CLARK (Letters, November 22) and I, along with several others, have been here before.

I first supported his views on ambushing jockeys at the end of races via the letters column on January 14, 2005, and in the near five years since other readers have commented in similar vein.

Surely the time has come when Channel 4 is called to account for persistently thrusting a microphone under the winning jockey's nose as soon as he or she has passed the winning post. The question is never more enlightening than, 'How was that for you?' Denied his own thoughts, the viewer can only reach for the mute button to avoid being force-fed the obvious.
