) announced today he has appointed Mark V. Edwards as Vice President, Manufacturing, a new position for the company. Edwards will drive the day-to-day manufacturing of Force Protection's line of mine and ballistic-protected vehicles, more specifically, he will ensure the facility maximizes production efficiencies while maintaining optimal quality control.

Edwards has more than 18 years experience in both automotive and military transport equipment industries. Prior to joining Force Protection, Edwards was Vice President, Operations for Ducommun Aerostructures, where he was responsible for all aerostructure manufacturing for the Boeing C-17 and Chinook Chinook, indigenous people of North America

Interestingly, Edwards worked on the C-17 program for more than 12 months. This is the aircraft tasked with transporting Force Protection vehicles to theaters around the world.

Before joining Ducommun, Edwards held several senior executive positions with Newport Corporation of Irvine, California; Giddings and Lewis of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin Fond du Lac is a city in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States.
