London, Sep.16 (ANI): Force India Force India is a team competing in the 2008 Formula One World Championship. History
Force India is a new name to the championship, if not a new team. The team was created when Michiel Mol and Vijay Mallya bought out the ailing Spyker F1 team (which had in turn been
has said that they will give GP2 driver Karun Chandhok Karun Chandhok (born January 19, 1984 in Madras) is a formula racing driver from India. He is currently the race driver for Durango Corse team in the GP2 series.Karun's first win in the GP2 series is in the sprint race at the challenging Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium after  a chance to prove he can make the grade as a Formula One driver.

The emerging team, which has a technical partnership with McLaren, will put Chandhok in the world champions' sophisticated F1 simulator to see if he can make the grade.

If he is successful, he could become Force India's reserve driver for 2010, reports The Sun.

Force India's owner Vijay Mallya Vijay Mallya (Kannada: ವಿಜಯ ಮಲ್ಯ) (born December 18, 1955) is an Indian businessman and Rajya Sabha MP. The son of industrialist Vittal Mallya, he is the Chairman of the United Breweries Group and Kingfisher Airlines, which draws its  warned that the team's run of top-four finishes in the last two F1 races had made competition for seats tougher.

He indicated that German Adrian Sutil Adrian Sutil ("Soo-tEEl") (born January 11, 1983 in Starnberg, Germany) is a German Formula One racing driver.

Sutil is son to the professional musicians Monika, a German, and Jorge, an Uruguayan.
and Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi Vitantonio "Tonio" Liuzzi (born 6 August 1981 in Locorotondo) is an Italian Formula One driver, who drives for Scuderia Toro Rosso. Having once lived in Hemel Hempstead in England where he shared an apartment with Red Bull Racing driver Christian Klien, Liuzzi now lives in Pescara,  would be retained as race drivers.

Mallya said: "I am very clear in my mind. I'm not a big team. I'm a very small team, probably with the tiniest budget.

I need to have people who can help deliver my objectives. I can't afford any luxuries. Karun is like a son to me. I have known him from when he was a little boy in shorts. If I can give him a chance, I'd be delighted."

"But he has to prove he is also capable. So I've told him I'll put him in the McLaren driver simulator and I'll see what he can do. And based on that we'll talk further," Mallya added.

Chandhok, 25, has been competent but not outstanding in GP2, while Jani was A1GP champion for Team Switzerland in the 2007-08 series.(ANI)
