While a promising concept, this new manga maNga is a popular Turkish nu metal/rapcore band. Their music is mainly a fusion of alternative metal and hip hop music, with a touch of Anatolian melodies; with heavy use of turntables, invoking comparisons with modern American nu metal bands. falls somewhat short in its story development, though one hopes more will be revealed in following installments. Fans of the film may be a little disappointed in this volume: Toby's character is not well constructed, leaving readers wanting to know more about where he came from and to fill in the gap from his abduction Abduction Balfour, David expecting inheritance, kidnapped by uncle. [Br. Lit.: Kidnapped] Bertram, Henry kidnapped at age five; taken from Scotland. [Br. Lit. as a baby to now; and while many of the creatures from the original make an appearance between chapters, few are prominently featured in the story. Despite these flaws, this volume will probably be popular with manga and fantasy fans alike, and the preview of Tokyopop's next movie-to-manga, The Dark Crystal, will whet the appetite of young fans.
