Byline: The Register-Guard

PeaceHealth is commissioning five main artworks for its new medical center at RiverBend.

Three have been selected:

Eugene sculptor Ellen Tykeson is doing a bronze sculpture bronze sculpture. Bronze is ideal for casting art works; it flows into all crevices of a mold, thus perfectly reproducing every detail of the most delicately modeled sculpture. It is malleable beneath the graver's tool and admirable for repoussé work.  in the meadow meadow

Cincinnati stone sculptor Karen Heyl will do a series of carved carve

Winnipeg, Canada, glass artist Warren Carther has been chosen to do a large glass work for the chapel.

The artists for two other large projects, both involving decorative work on stairways, have not been announced.

There are separate articles on American architecture, North American Native art, pre-Columbian art and architecture, Mexican art and architecture, Spanish colonial art and architecture,  Resources, the consultant working with PeaceHealth on art selection, wants to hear from local professional artists who would like to do artwork for the new medical center or for other American Art Resources projects around the country.
