CORVALLIS - For some in southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region, , it may be Matt Moore Week again.

Not for Matt Moore.

The Oregon State quarterback played for the Bruins in 2002 and 2003. He said his UCLA UCLA University of California at Los Angeles

"As far the personal stuff with me, that was last year," said the senior who has helped engineer the Beavers' four-game win streak that has taken the team to the brink of being bowl eligible and third place in the Pac-10 Conference.

Moore started five games for UCLA, passing for 967 yards and four touchdowns. Injuries and a coaching change led to Moore's decision to leave UCLA, enroll but not play football at College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. Moore drew the attention of first the L.A. media and then the UCLA fans during Oregon State's visit to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., last year but Bruin quarterback Drew Olson Drew Olson (born April 6, 1983 in San Francisco, California) is a former starting quarterback for the University of California, Los Angeles football team, where he broke many of UCLA's passing records.  threw a school-record six touchdowns en route to a 51-28 beating of the Beavers.

That loss was the first of four in OSU's last five games. Oregon State finished 5-6 and missed the postseason.

"I don't anticipate a large amount of talk about that stuff this time," OSU coach Mike Riley said of Moore's return to Los Angeles.

"We've been through it once already."

During OSU's win streak, Moore has completed 65 percent of his passes for 1,033 of his season total of 1,815 yards and four of his eight touchdowns.

"The offense revolves around the quarterback," tight end Joe Newton said. "When he plays well, it puts us in great position to win. Matt has played four great games in a row."
