Kendall-Jackson Grand Cuvee Cuvée (or Cuvee on some English language labels) is a French term used on wine labels to denote wine of a specific blend or batch. The word originates from the French word cuve meaning "vat". 2000 is crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir fruit from North Coast vineyards in the Anderson Valley Anderson Valley is a sparsely populated region in western Mendocino County in northern California. Located approximately 100 miles (160 km) north of San Francisco, the name "Anderson Valley" applies broadly to several rural, unincorporated communities in or near the alluvial , Russian River and Carneros. The sparkling wine was fermented in the bottle, using Methode Champenoise techniques, and was aged for nearly two years before disgorging. Winemaker Notes: "Delicate flavors of sweet brioche and baked apples are balanced by youthful overtones of mineral and citrus. The wine finishes with creamy yeast and nutty notes that linger on the palate. Delicious upon release, this wine will continue to develop complexity over the next few years." The Grand Cuvee is offered in a familiar Kendall-Jackson package, and is expected to be popular for holiday giving. Available now nationwide, and online at www.kj.com in the online store.
