Footy pair arrested at nightclub; OFFENCE.

PREMIERSHIP footballers Lee Cattermole and Matthew Bates were arrested and fined after trouble on a night out.

Boro youngster Bates, 21, and Wigan's Cattermole, 20, were given fixed-penalty notices in Yarm, along with another man, aged 23.

Cleveland Police said: "Officers attended an incident outside a nightclub on Yarm High Street at approximately 11.40pm on Saturday."

Wigan Athletic confirned Cattermole was arrested, adding: "The club is investigating the incident and will deal with it internally."
